“I'm finding the instructions a bit complicated. The cross checking with Ancestry is a good way to find duplicates and errors in dates but means I have to write United Kingdom on nearly every entry a bit tiresome as my research is based in the UK.”

“I was expecting the upgrade of rootsmagic 9 to be similar to my existing version not totally different. I must admit I prefer my old version much better and use that ne much more!”

“I have just downloaded the Magic Roots database I purchased a few years ago onto a new laptop. It's a g great product I wouldn't want to be without. I wasn't sure if I could use the same keycode for my new laptop but a quick call to S&N Genealogy got me sorted in minutes. I've previously bought books, pens etc. from them and their efficiency is superb. They take pride in their family business and are very customer-oriented. I'd highly recommend having S&N as your first point of contact for all things family history.”

“I have used version 7 for many years and it's excellent. However, I have bought version 9 and it will not load. Apparently I am not qualified to use it (according to OneDrive). Your tech department have tried to help, but so far it has all been too technical for me, and I have not been able to use it.”

“Does more and costs less than some other software apps. I have downloaded my trees from Familysearch and Ancestry to it and also loaded old Family Tree Maker files. It also creates GEDCOMS and charts for printing. It downloads your media from Ancestry but I have yet to work out how to connect it to Rootsmagic entries easily. On the whole it is an excellent piece of software with as much as anyone would need. it has upgraded to RM9, free but RM8 is not uninstalled, which I think is sensible. Very pleased with it.”

“I have made many purchases from S&N Genealogy over the years and have always found them to be most courteous and timely in their interactions and deliveries. Their product range is perfect for the home genealogist who isn't looking to buy huge quantities but still wants to know that they're getting quality. They do not attempt to hide their connection with TheGenealogist.co.uk, and I find this refreshing in a marketplace where you can often find supposedly competing sites owned by the same organisation.”

“They have been very helpful with my intial enquiries about Roots Magic 9. The product fits my needs exactly and while a bit tricky to get used to what it can do as a Family History programme , what it offers is fantastic . The ability to use media to put individual photos related to individual people is my favourite . Then there is the ability to link male members to other male members of females for example makes following the produced tree an added bonus . Superb reliable product .THANKS”
