“I have been searching since the mid 1970's when my father died. He had said nothing of his father but I found out later later that my father had been conceived out of wedlock in 1911 although a marriage did happen before my father was born. The family came from a small somerset village and in those days it was a terrible sin. I know have decided and received permission to be hurried in th family grave in the village when my time comes. I will have come home. Now to your real question. Thank you and your staff for a great magazine, full of wide ranging and interesting information. I will be placing a regular order. Would it be possible to include some history of smaller communities where life in the 18 and 19th centuries was very different, although the same power/position struggles when on as they did in the larger more affluent societies. “I have tried for 3 days to place a on line order using vouchers. Every time i tried it would NOT subtract the vouchers off the total payment. I rang as it said too but got told that there was nothing they could do and can NOT take orders over the phone. So please only order on line if you are Not using vouchers.”
